How Rebranding Helped Us Find Our True Identity

Why We Rebranded (Again) – And Why I Have No Shame About It

If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ve probably noticed we’ve gone through a few rebrands. And honestly? I have zero shame about it. I actually find it kind of funny at this point. But there’s a reason behind every pivot, and today, I want to share the deeper lesson behind why we’ve rebranded yet again, and why embracing change is one of the most powerful things you can do for your business.

Growth Means Change, And That’s Okay

When I started this company, I was 22. And let me tell you, so much has changed since then. I’ve grown as a person, and our business has grown alongside me. It only makes sense that our branding would evolve, too.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that once you pick a brand identity, you have to stick with it forever. But the reality is, businesses evolve just like people do. What worked when you started might not align with where you are today. And forcing yourself to stay in a box that no longer fits? That’s only going to hold you back.

The Rebrand That Didn’t Feel Like Us

Last summer, I took a step back and looked at some of the big marketing agencies in London. Their branding was neutral, bold, and professional. So naturally, I thought, We need to position ourselves like them. We need to look like a big company so people will take us seriously.

I convinced myself that we had to ditch the feminine branding. I wanted to fit the mold of what a "legit" agency should look like. So we made the switch, and our designer did an incredible job executing my vision at the time. But something always felt off.

For months, I struggled with our new look. It felt polished, but it didn’t feel personal. It looked the part, but it didn’t feel like home. And I didn’t realize why until much later.

The Unexpected Spark for a New Identity

Fast forward to December. I wanted to drop a high-quality, limited-edition merch piece. And because we rebrand more often than most (lol), I didn’t want the design to reflect our current branding, just in case we changed our minds down the road. I wanted something timeless.

When I got the mockups back, I was blown away. I sent them to my team and close friends, and someone said, “This is the best one yet!” thinking it was our new branding. That got me thinking...

A rebrand isn’t something you decide overnight, but I couldn’t ignore how right it felt. The more I thought about it, the more I realized, this is what our branding should have been all along.

Why This Branding Finally Feels Right

As I started changing things over, I noticed something: creating content for this new brand felt effortless. Why? Because it was a true reflection of me.

We are a female-owned and female-run agency. Why would we shy away from that? We are a small business, not a giant corporation. So why pretend to be something we’re not? Being a small business has so many positives, and plenty of companies prefer working with businesses like ours over big agencies.

The Power of Authenticity in Branding

Here’s the truth: branding isn’t just about colours and logos. It’s about energy. It’s about the feeling people get when they interact with your business. When your brand is a true reflection of who you are, everything else falls into place.

And here’s the best part, when you build a brand that is aligned with you, the right clients will naturally be drawn to it. The people who resonate with your energy, your values, and your vision will want to work with you, not because you’re trying to fit into an industry mold, but because you’re standing confidently in your own lane.

The Biggest Branding Lesson I’ve Learned

What I’m trying to say is this: when you’re creating a brand, make sure it’s a reflection of you. Don’t create a brand based on what you think you should look like, build one based on who you actually are.

Because when your branding feels authentic, everything—your content, your clients, your messaging—falls into place effortlessly. You attract people who align with your values. You create content that feels natural. You build a business that doesn’t just look good... but feels right.

So if you’re in a season of growth and considering a rebrand, ask yourself: Is my brand a true reflection of me? If the answer is no, don’t be afraid to evolve. Change isn’t something to fear, it’s something to embrace.

And if you ever feel guilty about rebranding? Just remember, this is coming from someone who’s done it a lot. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
